the encounters seemed to hard for me

we couldn't take much more
and I couldn't make a DC three

Tonight at L5R night, I ask one of the players (who wishes to remain anonymous) to write a haiku describing what bittersweetness is. He writes me this:

Dark and happy soy/
warm and melting in the oven/
too long; makes me sad

It needn't be said, but I stand humbled and amused.
